AWARE2ALL at EUCAD 2023: The Future of Automated and Connected Driving in Europe

The European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2023) took place on 3-4 May 2023, bringing together policy makers, industry experts, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss the future of automated and connected driving in Europe.

The conference focused on the latest developments and innovations in connected and automated driving technology, as well as the regulatory and policy frameworks needed to support their deployment. With the aim of promoting sustainable and safe mobility, the conference explored the challenges and opportunities presented by the ongoing digital transformation of the automotive industry.

One of the key themes of EUCAD 2023 was the importance of collaboration between industry, academia and policy makers to drive innovation and progress in the field of connected and automated driving. The conference featured a series of presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities, providing a platform for stakeholders to share their views and experiences, and learn from each other including AWARE2ALL.

EUCAD 2023 will also showcase the latest technologies and solutions in the field, providing attendees with the opportunity to see first-hand the cutting-edge innovations that are driving the digital transformation of the automotive industry. From autonomous vehicles to connected infrastructure, the conference will highlight the diverse range of technologies that are shaping the future of mobility.

AWARE2ALL was there to present its innovative approach with a focus on how autonomous mobility affects the diversity of the population in both safety and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) centric systems. Accompanying it with an explanatory rollup where he reflected the main objectives and demonstrators of the project.

It was a very rewarding experience to be part of this event and to be surrounded by very interesting projects such as AI4CCAM, AITHENA, SELFY, CONNECT, IN2CCAM, PODIUM, AUGMENTED CCAM, CONDUCTOR, ULTIMO, MODI, SINFONICA, MOVE2CCAM, EVENTS, ROADVIEW, I4DRIVING, SUNRISE and FAME.

The conference was held in Brussels, Belgium, a city at the heart of Europe and a hub of politics and innovation. The location reflects the importance of the European Union in shaping the future of connected and automated driving, and the role of policy makers in facilitating the deployment of these technologies. EUCAD 2023 is a must-attend event for all those interested in the future of mobility. Focusing on collaboration, innovation and sustainable mobility, the conference offers a unique opportunity for stakeholders to meet, share ideas and work towards a common goal: a safer, more efficient and sustainable transport system for Europe and the world.
